Mourning Processions in Arbaeen (Karbala)

With the beginning of 17th of Safar 1433 – Jan 11, 2012, many processions marched towards the two holy shrines to commemorate the Arbaeen of imam Hussein.

Processions released from the Qibla St. of imam Hussein AS to enter the holy shrine of imam Hussein then to Al-Abbas Holy Shrine through the area between the two holy shrines slapping their chest to match the grief of the imams' martyrdom.

Chief of the department of Husseini Rituals and Processions in the Islamic world of the two holy shrine, Sayed Hashim Mosawi declared to Alkafeel net: "all the preparation have been completed to receive the processions via documenting the processions in special record and in details, issuing ID cards in cooperation with the Police Department in Karbala city and other service and lawful departments, and in cooperation with other departments from different cities of Iraq".

He continued: "the department begins its preparation early, so as to control the efforts and arrange the procession to come up with an accurate work policy in all the fields. Through the cooperation with the owners of the Husseini processions inside and outside the city, we hold many meetings to study the matters that can facilitate the entering and exit of the procession to the holy shrines".

Sayed Hashim explained: "the number of processions and bodies registered reached more that 16000 processions and bodies in Iraq and the Islamic world, as service and mourning processions or bodies".

It is worth mentioning that the visitors of the Arbaeen Visitation last year1432 AH and within 20 days reached 16 Million visitors from Iraq, 500 thousand visitors were from more than 55 country around the world. An event that considered the biggest from many aspects: service, medics and many other aspects.

Maulana Nasiri Sahab of Moghal Masjid Passed Away Maulana Nasiri Sahab, the pesh Imam of Moghal Masjid in Mumbai has passed away at 5.45 PM in the hospital. He had been admitted in ICU. For over a decade he had been suffering from acute diabetes. Please wait for the details of his funeral. Update: Burial of Maulana Agha Nasiri will be taking place tomorrow at 11.00 AM Rehmatabad. After Namaaz of janaaza at Moghul Masjid at 9.00 AM the final journey of marhum will begin for Rehmatabad, Mazgaon for burial.
